you may already know, Web Ring is Owned by Yahoo.

Few months back, all web ring owners (people who create and spend hours
to manage their web rings)...like this one, received an email from Yahoo,
saying that "WebRing" was going to be integrated with yahoo and that many
new features were going to be added. This is hardly the case.
Apparently, they have changed things around and I can not get access to
the Ring I USED TO manage "Money". I have sent them 2 emails
~via their feedback form and they do not have the common courtesy to respond.
I suppose they will claim they are too busy to respond, well.. they sure
found the time to steal peoples web rings. Hours have been spent on this
one since 1998!! I can not be sure if this is the case with all web
rings, but.... now you must get a Yahoo ID to even join a web ring. THAT
SUCKS!! Just their way of collecting your personal information and hoarding
more traffic.
PLEASE
AVOID WEB RINGS!!
I know
this won't even put a dent in Yahoo's traffic, as they currently get about
45% of all internet traffic. But, I do not want to help them grow if they
are going to screw their frequent users.
Hopefully,
this issue will be resolved soon, but for now, save your hard earned time
and avoid using Webrings.
