The Province of Guanacaste
is a great place for folklore, music, scenery, and excellent tropical foods
and dishes. It is the most popular tourist destination in Costa Rica. The
Province of Guanacaste hosts its own International Airport "Daniel Odubar".
Beach Lovers, Sun Bathers,
and Swimming
Catch spectacular views of
cliffs along a variety of textured and colored sand beaches. This section
of Costa Rica is truely a beach lovers paradise.
The beaches of the North
Pacific Region provide gentle surf for swimming.
Some beach activities
include: Sunbathing, Volley Ball, Parasailing, windsurfing, Kayaking,
Deep Sea Fishing, water-skiing, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
Divers and Diving
Divers will also love the
ecosystem habit consisting of a wide variety of sealife. Other great diving
places for experienced divers are Isla Palmares-Bahia Culbra or Coco
and Flaming Beaches.

Fish for Marlin, Sword, Tuna,
Dorado, wahoo and Rooster.
Surfers Hot Spots
Potrero Grande, Marajo Grande,
Tamarindo, Langosta, Avellanas, Negra and Nosara.
North Pacific Region - City of Guanacaste
Guanacaste: Guanacaste has
about 450,000 residents and covers an area of approx 6,933 square miles.
It extends from highlands with active volcanos and to sealevel with sandy
beaches. Northwestern province known for its beautiful beaches and sparkling
blue pacific waters, national parks and live volcanoes.
Guanacaste has two weather seasons:

Liberia: Liberia is the Capital
City of Guanacaste Province. Liberia is located 125 miles north of San
Jose and is connected through the Pan-American Highway. A drive between
Cities is about 3 1/2 hours.
