"Al
Dente"

Meaning:
To the tooth. Describes the level of doneness of pasta.
To
achieve proper "Al Dente" pasta.. Cook the pasta about 90% of the way (meaning..
10% of the pastas core still remains uncooked offers resistance to the
bite.
+Tips
1)
When removed from heat the pasta will continue to cook until it cools.
To stop the cooking process... douse the pasta in a ice bath (mixture of
50% ice and 50% water).
2)
Coat the pasta with olive oil to enhance the flavor and to keep it
from sticking.
