2 cups white wine vinegar 1/2 cup water 1 cup brown sugar 2 large cloves garlic (thinly sliced) 1/4 cup ginger (peeled and sliced paper thin) 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 4 dried hot chile peppers 1 medium diced red onion 1 lemon seeded and sliced thin 1 cup raisins 4 granny Smith apples (pealed, cored, sliced very thin) combine all ingredients except apples boil and simmer to desired consistancy, add apples and ccook for 5 minutes. Cool. Cranberry Chutney
